Airbnb has permanently banned partying and events around the world as a measure to contain the spread of the virus after a temporary measure during the pandemic became popular with hosts.

Airbnb in a statement said that the rule has become “much more than a public health measure” since it was introduced in August 2020. And that the number of complaints about parties dropped by 44% since the measure was first introduced.

Its worthy to note that the limit on how many people can stay in a home has been removed as opposed to the initial rule of a 16 person limit to occupants because of concerns over the spread of Covid-19, and they also mentioned that “It developed into a bedrock community policy to support our hosts and their neighbours,”.

According to them, the only exception to the global ban may be made for “specialty and traditional hospitality venues” in the future, it added.

Airbnb, Inc. is an American company that operates an online marketplace for lodging, primarily homestays for vacation rentals, and tourism activities. Based in San Francisco, California, the platform is accessible via website and mobile app.
