In one of my posts, I talked about how to recover deleted text messages on a smartphone
Which could be helpful in case of mistakes. But as prevention is better than cure, I decided to write an article on how to backup the messages, so that in case of deletion you can easily recover the messages from your computer.

First it’s recommend that you download the mobkin assistant from playstore after successful installation, follow the instructions below.

Step 1: Install and Run the Program, and Connect the Android Phone
First of all, you need to start USB Debugging on your phone. Here, you can check as follow to make sure the USB Debugging is enabled.
– For Android OS 2.0-2.3, Go to Setting->Application->Development->USB Debugging;
– For Android OS 3.0-4.1, go to Setting->Developer Options-> USB Debugging;
– For Android OS 4.2 or later, go to Setting-> Developer Options, (If you did not find the Developer Options, go to About Device, and tap “Build number” 7 times in rapid succession then back to the Setting page, and then you will find it.), Turn on Developer Options->USB Debugging.

When your phone is recognized by the program successfully, the parameter information of your phone, such like phone model, system version and storage space capacity can be seen in the window like below.

Step 2. Preview and Begin to Recover
You should choose the “Contacts” and click the “SMS” button on the left panel. All the SMS in your Android phone will be divided in two parts: Inbox and Outbox. View them in the program directly and then find the one you want to backup. And then click the button of “Backup SMS ” to transfer all the texts you need to computer.

Now you can be rest assured that all your valuable message are secured. But it’s still left to you to protect your computer. Thanks for visiting.
