Sometimes you might just be stranded as a result of heavy down pour of rain, even when you have an emergency! Though you may be willing to risk entering the rain, but the fear of your precious accessories getting spoilt holds you back.
Thankfully there are quite a few water-resistant tech products that you can get. Here are some of the gadgets that can be used without you having to worry about them getting drenched in water, accidentally or otherwise.

Smartphones are probably the most important gadgets that need protection from the water, given how much we use them for both leisure and work-related activities. There are quite a few waterproof smartphones available in the market.. For those wanting a flagship, Samsung’s latest Galaxy S7 is a great buy at $770.
As for those who are on the hunt for a budget device, the Motorola Moto X Play with its price tag of $285, can be a good option.
Power banks: UIMI U3 Solar Charging Power Bank, Easy water-resistant solar power bank:
There are numerous waterproof-power banks available in the market. One of them is the UIMI U3 Solar Charging Power Bank. Having a 6000mAh capacity and dual-USB ports, the power bank is priced at $12.
Another great option is the Easy water-resistant solar power bank. It has a price tag of $10 and has 5,000mAh capacity.
Smartwatches: Apple Watch, Pebble’s Time Steel, Intex’s iRist Pro:
Smartwatches are quite vulnerable to water-related accidents considering they are mostly on our wrists. So, it is preferable that we go for a water-resistant smartwatch.
A good option is Pebble’s Time Steel which is available at $240. It has a 1.25-inch dial and is compatible with devices running Android (version 4.0 and up) and iOS (version 8 and above).
You can also go for Intex’s iRist Pro smartwatch. Priced at $75, it comes with a 2.5D curved glass display and is compatible with all Android smartphones running version 4.4 and above. And if you are willing to spend more then you can also consider buying the Apple Watch which starts at $435.

Planning on throwing a rooftop party in the rainy season? It’s probably a good idea to buy a waterproof Bluetooth speaker to ensure that the music never stops. Take a look at the Altec Lansing Life Jacket 2 speakers. Bearing a price tag of $150.

Laptops: Panasonic Toughbook CF-20, Toughbook CF-54:
Up next on the list are laptops. The good thing here is that you can get laptops that are not just waterproof, but also rugged enough to be used in extreme environmental conditions.
The best option is Panasonic’s Toughbook CF-20 (hitting the market in August). Although it’s a bit expensive at $2400 the rugged laptop can withstand the toughest of conditions. It is powered by Intel’s latest Core m5-6Y57 vPro Skylake processor.
Another good buy from Panasonic itself would be the Toughbook CF-54, priced at $1200. It is powered by a fifth-generation Intel Core i5-5300U vPro processor, and has 4GB RAM (expandable up to a maximum of 16GB).
